How It Works
Last Updated: June 29, 2026
This page explains how FeatureZens scripts and the Cronus Zen device work, what they do, what they cannot do, and why they are hardware macros rather than software hacks.
Macros vs. Hacks
A macro, also referred to as a mod or automated input sequence, is a programmable sequence of controller inputs executed through a script.
This same type of input automation is available in many widely used consumer products, including:
- Microsoft Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers.
- Corsair gaming keyboards using iCUE.
- Razer gaming keyboards using Synapse.
- Logitech G-series keyboards using G HUB.
Input automation is a common hardware feature used for accessibility, productivity, and customization.
A macro is not a hack.
A hack generally involves modifying, injecting into, reading, or altering a game's software, memory, or protected systems. FeatureZens scripts do none of those things.
What FeatureZens Scripts Do
- Automate controller button presses and stick movements.
- Execute customizable macros and controller input sequences.
- Run entirely on the Cronus Zen hardware device.
- Operate exclusively at the controller input layer.
What FeatureZens Scripts Do Not Do
- Modify or access game files.
- Inject code into any game or running process.
- Read, write, or modify game memory.
- Communicate with game servers.
- Overlay on top of games.
- Unlock hidden developer features.
- Modify health, damage, hitboxes, or any server-side game state.
- Circumvent game mechanics or gameplay limitations.
- Connect to the internet while executing scripts.
Cronus Zen Is Game-Agnostic
Cronus Zen communicates only with your controller.
It does not identify or interact with the game being played.
If your controller works with a game, Cronus Zen simply forwards controller input to that game using standard USB Human Interface Device (HID) protocols.
The game receives ordinary controller inputs exactly as it would from a physical controller.
Macros also respect game-imposed limitations. If a game limits how quickly an action may occur, a macro cannot bypass that restriction.
The Hardware Layer
FeatureZens scripts are written in GPC and execute entirely within the Cronus Zen hardware.
The device receives controller input, processes the script, and outputs standard USB HID controller signals to the connected console or PC.
FeatureZens scripts:
- Never communicate with game software.
- Never access game memory.
- Never communicate with game servers.
- Never modify executable code.
- Never bypass DRM or access-controlled systems.
From the operating system's perspective, the device behaves as a standard USB controller.
17 U.S.C. § 1201 (Anti-Circumvention)
The anti-circumvention provisions of 17 U.S.C. § 1201 prohibit bypassing technological protection measures controlling access to copyrighted works.
FeatureZens scripts do not:
- Circumvent DRM.
- Disable encryption.
- Access protected game content.
- Interfere with copyrighted software.
FeatureZens scripts operate solely on controller input signals outside the game software environment.
Permitted and Prohibited Use
FeatureZens scripts are intended solely for lawful, personal, and educational use involving controller hardware configuration.
FeatureZens does not encourage or endorse using its products in any manner that violates:
- Game Terms of Service.
- End User License Agreements (EULAs).
- Platform policies.
- Applicable laws.
Your use of FeatureZens products is entirely your responsibility.
Whether controller adapters or programmable macros are permitted within a particular game or platform is determined solely by the publisher or platform operator.
FeatureZens makes no representation that any script complies with the policies of any specific game or service.
Platform and Game Policies
Every publisher establishes its own rules regarding controller adapters, programmable inputs, and external hardware.
Users are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with the applicable Terms of Service, End User License Agreements, and community policies for any game or platform they use.

Summary
FeatureZens scripts are hardware configuration tools that execute entirely within the Cronus Zen device.
They operate exclusively at the controller input layer and have no interaction with game software, game memory, game servers, or protected content.
They are programmable controller macros, not software modifications or game hacks.
